ANNA LUBBINGE

‘…I decided to move to Lisbon last September. Soon after settling in, I felt the incredible creative energy of the city. On my daily walks throuhout the city I kept feeling amazed by all the colorful buildings and little balconies decorated with my favorite plants. I felt at home.’

Born in the the Netherlands Anna grew up with an artistic mindset but with no intention of following an art career until university. After that she traded a life in politics for brushes and pencils. Anna went to Seville pursuing an intership with her idol and then mentor Patricio Cabrera who she worked with for some months. Then Lisbon presented to her like a good destination to live and develop the artistic skills she wanted to get.

Anna takes inspiration in Lisbons arquitecture and light, in the small streets and in her spiritual side. She uses bright colors and colorful streets and landscaps mixed with dreamlike scenarios as her prefered themes.
